Lion Jerry Kohler passed away Friday August 20, 2010. We will miss you Jerry -your unique sense of humor, your generosity, your “gold” dollars, your good natured complaining, and your regular invitations to sit on your lap. What a character! Funeral was held on Sunday, August 22nd. |

Delores Mae Scott
85, of Loma Rica passed away October 24, 2010 at her residence. She was a Yuba-Sutter resident for 45 years. Delores was born in Colon Nebraska to Alvin and Mary Dockweiler. She moved to Marysville in 1965 where she made many friends over the years who will dearly miss her. She loved gathering with family and friends for camping trips, fishing and barbecues. She was a fantastic cook and enjoyed bringing everyone together for celebrations and holidays. There was always a place for everyone in her home and she touched many lives. Dolores was a devoted member of the Foothill Lions Club, where she enjoyed her volunteer work for the local community. She will be greatly missed and remembered by her son, Kenneth W. Vess (wife Sheri) of Loma Rica; daughter, Cynthia A. Wallace (husband Allen) of Espanola, N.M.; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald D. Scott; daughter, Dianne Wood; brothers Albert Divis, Edward Divis, Joe Divis, Wiliam Divis, and Percy Dockweiler; sister Marie Houdek; and grandson Timothy Vess. |

Freddie Mae Cotter 67, of Loma Rica, CA, passed away January 2, 2010. Born May 24, 1942 in New Castle, CA. A resident of the Yuba-Sutter area for 39 years. She was a homemaker. Freddie was a member of the Loma Rica Community Church, and a Charter Member of the Foothill Lions Club Loma Rica, CA. Survivors include her husband Norman E. Cotter of Loma Rica, CA; son Donald E. Cotter of Yuba City, CA; daughters: Betty Sue Delaney of Loma Rica, CA, Theresa Jean Van Duzer of Lake Butler, FL; grandchildren: Geoffery Delaney II, Nichole Delaney, Sean Delaney, John Van Duzer, and Jennifer Van Duzer; great grandchildren Geoffery Delaney III, and Destynie Delaney. Preceded in death by brothers: John, George and Bob Beal; sisters: Pearl McKay and Betty Jensen. Services will be held 11:00AM Friday, January 8, 2010 at the Loma Rica Community Church, Loma Rica, with Pastor Wayne Vincent officiating. Burial will be at the Peoria Cemetery, Browns Valley, CA. Funeral services are under the direction of Lipp and Sullivan Funeral Directors. |
